Pie a Professor - Get Pied, Inspire Impact
An alumna of our Master of Public Administration program, Sarah Hasenmueller Weinberg, moved to Washington D.C. shortly after graduation to work for a nonprofit; she passed away suddenly before the Christmas holiday in 2016. Sarah was dedicated to public service, and she exemplified the values that the program works to instill in its students. A scholarship was set up in her name, and we are halfway there to raising the funds to get it endowed so that Sarah's memory will continue to live on through the program for years to come.
This scholarship will benefit those who are seeking to better the world through academic excellence. We hope that our “Pie the Professor” event will bring together students, staff, faculty, and alumni, for a fun evening filled with volunteers getting pied in the face in honor of an outstanding individual.
Tickets to the event will be sold all day in the campus mall between North and South Foundation Halls, and the "pie-ing" will begin at 4:30pm.
