LUNAR NEW YEAR: The Lunar New Year is the most important social and economic holiday for billions of people around the world. The holiday is tied to the lunar-solar Chinese calendar and was originally observed as a time to honor household and heavenly deities and ancestors. It’s a special time to bring friends and family together for feasting and festivities in China, Korea, Vietnam, Japan, Mongolia, and other countries all over the world!

EVENT INFO: Join the fun from 8-9pm in Tinkham Veale University Center ( 11038 Bellflower Rd.) and watch the fireworks as they set off on Wade Oval! Fireworks will occur promptly at 9:15 pm. **time has been updated 

Popular Asian snacks, green tea, and hot chocolate to keep everyone warm will be available inside TVUC.

Come early and bring your CWRU ID, the first 300 people will get a free stuffed animal dog, to celebrate the Year of the Dog.  Wear Red and receive a traditional red envelope filled with prizes and good fortunes. 

NOTE: Please expect security and limited access to Freiberger Field and surrounding areas, Safety is our top concern.  This event is open to the community.
