Peer Advocate Application is Live!

Jun 19, 2019 by Carissa Ruf

Lead. Educate. Advocate.

The Office of Health Promotion provides education, outreach and advocacy to enhance the health of all students. We are looking for students who have a passion for advocacy and bettering the campus community. Peer Advocates have a unique opportunity to be a part of change on Montclair State University’s campus. It is an outlet for students to use their creativity, passions and interests in order to better the campus as a whole.

What Do Peer Advocates Do?

Peer Advocates are student volunteers for the Office of Health Promotion. Peer Advocates provide outreach, educational prevention programming and a person to talk to on a variety of college health issues such as: stress reduction, body image, alcohol and other drugs, safer sex, sleep, health disparities, nutrition, and cold/flu prevention, just to name a few. The possibilities are as diverse as our volunteers!
