Sleep Week

College students are considered one of the most sleep-deprived populations in the country, but Health Promotion is here to help you get your snooze on! Join us all week for information, giveaways and chances to win prizes!  Talk to Peer Advocates around campus, attend a Sleep Week event or visit the Drop In Center to enter. *Tickets will be drawn daily around 5:00 p.m. and winners will be contacted immediately following. All participants throughout the week are automatically entered into our grand prize Bedtime Bundle (blanket, pillow, stuffed animal).  The Grand Prize winner will be drawn on Saturday, March 24th around 2 p.m.

Monday, March 19th

The Do’s and Don’ts of a Good Night’s Sleep

Location: Student Center Lobby

Time: 11a.m. -3 p.m.

Are you getting your best night’s sleep?  Stop by the Student Center Lobby on Monday, March 19th and learn some tips for healthy sleep.  Participants will receive one raffle ticket to win a mug and tea combo!

Tuesday, March 10th

Fuel Up at the Commuter Happy Hour

Location: Student Center Rathskeller

Time: 12 -2 p.m.

Visit us on Tuesday, March 20th in the Rathskeller and make your own trail mix to help fuel your body. Participants will receive one raffle ticket to win a bedtime book and calming lotion.

Wednesday, March 21st

Studio DIY: Donut Pillows

Location: Drop-In Center

Time: 12:30-2 p.m.

Visit the Health Promotion Drop In Center on Wednesday the 21st to design your very own donut pillow to decorate your sleep space!

Is Your Sleep Space Healthy?

Location: Student Recreation Center Lobby

Time: 12-4 p.m.

What is the best temperature for sleeping?  What can one do to create an inviting and comfortable sleep space? Stop by the Student Recreation Lobby on Wednesday, March 21 from 12- 4 and learn about how a proper sleep space can enhance your sleep.  Participants will receive one raffle ticket to win sound machine.

Thursday, March 22nd

Drowsy Driving

Location: Sprague Library

Time: 12-4 p.m.

Stop by our table in Sprague Library from 12-4 to learn more about sleep aids and the dangers associated with them. Participants will receive one raffle ticket to win and essential oil diffuser and lavender oil.

Friday, March 23rd

Snoozing 101

Location: Student Center Lobby

Time: 2- 4 p.m.

Visit us in The Student Center Lobby on Friday, March 23rd from 2- 4 for information on naps, creating a healthy sleep environment and tips for a better night’s sleep. Participants will receive one raffle ticket for a chance to win the bedtime bundle.

Saturday, March 24th

Saturday Crafternoon: DIY Sleep Masks

Location: Student Recreation Center

Time: 12- 2 p.m.

Join us for our Saturday Crafternoon Sleep Week edition to make your very own DIY Sleep Mask! Note a different location for this week: we will be hosting this Crafternoon as part of Campus Recreation's 10th Anniversary RecFestival located in the Student Recreation Center.

All activities are free and the materials are provided for you. The materials are first come, first served. You are welcome to come and go as you please. We look forward to seeing you there! (Please note, no raffle tickets will be given out at this event).
