Find everything you need to know about the privileges and responsibilities of being a recognized student organization at Radford University

Denise D Cocke

Hello, I am 57 y/o finally getting a chance to earn my degree. I want very much to contribute to Radford and the community but because at this time I have to start with online classes I am a full time care giver of my WWII Vet Husband. I am majoring in RCPT with a minor in Appalachian Studies. I would appreciate any suggestions, or guidance . Thank you so much - Denise Cocke

Hi Denise, sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Good for you for being part of our growing population of "nontraditional" students! We have lots of opportunities to get involved here at RU. Given your major and minor, I suggest looking into the Appalachian Events Committee and/or one of our recreation-based organizations. All of our registered student organizations have portals here on RUInvolved. You can explore them based on your interests by entering terms in the search block at the top of this page. If you need more guidance, feel free to stop by SOAR in room 115 in the Bonnie (Hurlburt Student Center) and we'll be happy to help!
