About UCCSlead

UCCSlead is a new student leadership development program at UCCS with the goal of developing engaged and ethical world-changing leaders. The program is open to all undergraduate students and incorporates leadership training, academic coursework, and engaged leadership experiences. Upon successful completion of the program requirements and graduation from UCCS, students will receive recognition of their transcripts, as well as graduation recognition.


Program Details

The UCCSlead program incorporates elements proven to be critical in the development of well-rounded, successful leaders.

Training- Training in this program includes four modules designed to enhance students’ leadership skills and character. These modules include Leading Self, Leading Others, Leading Teams, and Leading Organizations and Communities. *Modules must be taken in this order* 

Academic Coursework- Coursework enhances a student’s overall leadership development by providing an academic perspective on leadership theory and practice.

Experience- Experience will include a combination of community service opportunities, serving in a leadership role on campus, completing a course on leadership and organizational change, and participating in a mentee/mentorship relationship.
