Join the Office of Student Diversity Programs in celebrating LGBTQ History Month this October! Keep an eye out for the variety of events put on to celebrate this special month. With the help of Fairfield Alliance and campus partners there is plenty to look out for.
You will learn a lot and help us celebrate LGBTQ History and Pride!
Monday Oct 5th, Join us for a special Student Focused Safe Space Training, in Mcgrath Commons. Students will learn about the experiences of LGBTQ individuals, develop cultural competencies relative to the LGBTQ community, and learn effective tools to serve as allies to the community. This is an excellent leadership opportunity for all students!
Tuesday Oct 6th, As part of the Multicultural Education Program, this seminar will share information on the purpose of the Bias Response Team, the protocols and procedures, as well the members of the current team. The seminar will further discuss what role faculty, staff, and students have in reporting incidents on campus as they pertain to biases.
Wednesday Oct 21st, Safe Space I training is open to all students, faculty, and staff interested becoming an ally to the LGBTQ community on campus.
Thursday Oct 29th The Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies program is pleased to present Sexuality, Technology, and Gender (STAG) Talks. Join students, faculty, and community members as they share their ideas and stories on sexual and gender identity. Questions? firstname.lastname@example.org
