UK Mock Trial is a competitive team that combines speech, debate, and theater to compete in trial simulations. The program was founded to help students develop communication skills, enhance analytic thinking, and advocate justice. UK Mock Trial recently competed in the 2017 National Championship in Los Angeles, CA.
Each year, The American Mock Trial Association (AMTA) publishes a criminal or civil case. The 600+ mock trial teams in the nation then prepare the prosecution/plaintiff and defense sides of this case in order to compete in trial simulations. The team travels to different states to attend competitions and present our case.
