SafeZone Workshops are Back!

The newly revised Columbus State SafeZone program kicks off on Friday, September 5. SafeZone is a series of interactive trainings aimed at helping students and employees develop a better understanding of LGBTQ+ experiences and become effective allies of this community. Four distinct training models will be offered this school year including SafeZone 101, Understanding Gender Variance, Understanding Sexual Identity, and The Importance of Being an Ally.
The first workshop, SafeZone 101, will be held on September 5, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. in WD 407. Participants who complete the training will receive a certificate and an opportunity to take the SafeZone Pledge as a committed ally of the LGBTQ+ community.
