What is the ASGA New York City Conference?

The American Student Government Association (ASGA) hosts a conference in New York City each year. The 2012 event hosted 225 attendees from 32 schools in 20 states. Student Government Association at PLV approved the use of funds to send 10 students and 1 advisor to learn more about effective student government practices. This is open to all full-time undergraduate students on an application basis.

Is there an application fee?

There is no application fee for this conference. 


When is the application due?

The application is due February 15, 5pm. No extensions!

What will I learn at the National Summit?

Students will gain specific ideas and "best practices" which will quickly and dramatically improve our Student Government. It will help us develop plans to tackle both pressing issues and long-term projects. We'll also learn how to build a more cohesive team: one that's prepared to handle new challenges head-on and more efficiently. Conference includes Saturday  breakfast and lunch, a conference t-shirt, and discounts on resources sold at the conference.
