Welcome to Students For Life!!!
Students for Life is the Pro-Life organization on the St. John's Queens Campus, a regional chapter of the national organization, Students for Life of America.
We believe in dignity and respect for all people--regardless of gender, religion, race, and ethnicity--at every stage of life. We are working for a true respect for human dignity.
We welcome people with all view points while actively promoting the pro-life views.
We offer activities throughout the school year, such as:
--General body meetings to discuss life issues (abortion, refugee crises, adoption, feminism for life, depression, death penalty, assisted suicide)
--Service to local women's shelters
--Service to local pregnancy centers
--Discussion tables with Regional Coordinator from Students for Life America
--Pro-Life Apologetics Training
--The March for Life in Washington, D.C.
We welcome you to attend our events this year, as well as our general body meetings! We hope to see you there!
The Gospel of Life is not for believers alone: it is for everyone. The issue of life and its defense and promotion is a concern that all people are called to. Although faith provides special light and strength, this question arises in every human conscience which seeks the truth and which cares about the future of humanity. Life certainly has a sacred and religious value, but in no way is that value a concern only of believers. The value at stake is one which every human being can grasp by the light of reason; thus it necessarily concerns everyone. As University students, we are passionately committed to sharing the pro-life movement with our peers, the university community, and the people of New York City.
