Welcome to Haraya, The Pan-African Students’ Coalition

Haraya is the Black Student Union of St. John’s University, intending to serve as a voice for all black students at St. John’s. We are also a programming board whose focus is to facilitate events that will UPLIFT, ENLIGHTEN and EDUCATE the St. John’s University Pan-African community. Our events are geared towards creating growth in the areas of academics, community service and social events.

Haraya is also the umbrella organization for the Pan-African Student’s Council. This council is made of ten organizations. Together we all strive forward, towards strengthening the Pan-African Community at St. John’s University.
