The Chappell Players Theatre Group
2015 - 2016 E-Board
Originally named the Dramatic Society, the Chappell Players Theater Group has been the theater organization for St. John's since the 1930's. The CPTG is committed to the learning and development of all persons involved in the art of theater. They extend these experiences to the roles of actor, backstage worker, writer, designer, director and audience member. The organization believes the quality of their work leads to fulfillment and a deeper understanding of the art itself. They pride themselves on their diversity of work and the outstanding opportunities that new artists receive through a growing repertoire of student directed and written pieces. Often times, CPTG works in conjunction with Alpha Psi Omega, the National Theater Honor Society.
Past productions by the Chappell Players have included RENT, Little Shop of Horrors, Arsenic and Old Lace, A Midsummer Night's Dream, In The Heights, Godspell, and Pippin, just to name a few.
