Welcome to the Alpha Pi Chapter of Lambda Kappa Sigma at St. John's University!
Lambda Kappa Sigma (LKS) is an international professional pharmacy fraternity open to undergraduate and graduate pharmacy students and practicing pharmacists. Our Core Values are: Sisterhood,Leadership, Service, Scholarship and, underlying all Core Values, Integrity.
OUR MISSION: Lambda Kappa Sigma provides lifelong opportunities for women in pharmacy through professional excellence and personal growth.
The Alpha Pi Chapter is very passionate about our core values, and we place special emphasis on community service, fundraising, and professionalism. Some community service and fundraising events that we participated in over the last few years include the Breast Cancer Walk, NEDA Walk, Relay for Life, and our philanthropy, Project HOPE. As for professional projects, we have hosted many CV/Resume workshops and events raising awareness about Gardasil, Women's Heart Disease, Lupus, Ovarian Cancer, and Diabetes.
LKS provides the opportunity to build not only life-long friendships, but a life-long sisterhood. LKS also offers many scholarships, networking opportunities, and awards for collegiate members, graduate pharmacy students and practicing pharmacists. As sisters, we support each other and understand the obstacles sisters may face throughout their pharmacy career.
