Palestine 101: WWI to NOW

Dr. Awad Halabi, Associate Professor and Coordinator of Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies at Wright State University, will present on the history of the occupation showing how the conflict has unfolded since WWI and has led to the conflict today. We will cover the history starting from British mandate to the present.

"Ghost Town: The Hebron Story" Documentary Screening and Discussion w/ Filmmaker

Students for Justice in Palestine will be screening the documentary "Ghost Town: The Hebron Story". This documentary tells the stories of families in Hebron (located in the West Bank of Palestine). The documentary follows the rise of the settlements in Hebron and how they came to have such a major role in the halting and destruction of the peace process in the Mideast. It is narrated by Martin Sheen and is an Al-Jazeera Film Festival Winner.
