Portal Information

Description

The Alpha Sigma Upsilon chapter of the National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH) is an international organization that stands on the core values of Service and Recognition with emphasis on leadership ability and academic success. We are the top 1% of on-campus leaders meaning that we are a 55 member general body comprised of students leaders who reside on campus. NRHH is the sister organization to the Residence Hall Association (RHA); we pair with RHA by attending local, state, regional and national Housing conferences throughout the school year as well as promoting service events and recognition of services within the Boone community. We also promote OTMs (Of the Month awards) to increase the recognition of people's contributions to App's community.

Selection Process/Membership Requirements

Please list information about the organizations selection process and include membership requirements if applicable.

We nominate students for membership beginning in November. Nominated students who meet the minimum 2.8 GPA requirement, are in good academic standing, and will be living on campus within the next upcoming semester are then emailed an application to apply for NRHH. Members who are nominated and receive the application have from Winter break until the first Saturday of classes to complete the application. Then the NRHH Executive Board reads through the applications and selects our new members who will then be inducted by the second weekend of February.
