International Appalachian, mostly known as INTAPP, is a student run organization that works to promote study abroad, international recruitment to Appalachian, leadership, and internationalization of Appalachian’s campus.
International Appalachian is an organization that seeks to increase international understanding and direct involvement with other cultures and countries at Appalachian State University and the entire state of North Carolina by providing a leadership outlet for internationally focused students.
INTAPP promotes study abroad, international recruitment to ASU, leadership, international travel, study abroad alumni involvement, and North Carolina secondary school students’ interest in the world and its people.
Members of International Appalachian have regular interaction with international students, improving both the experiences of the international students and INTAPP members.
Working along side the Office of International Education and Development, INTAPP is a multifaceted organization designed to weave internationalism into the cultural fabric of ASU creating better world citizens prepared to contribute to their local communities.

In order to become a member of INTAPP, interested individuals must complete an application process by a set deadline in the Fall semester. Once applications are reviewed, select individuals are chosen for a member lead interview and then a group interview. After the interview process, new members are selected.
