HELLO and WELCOME to Appalachian State University!!! 

We, Hmong Society Club (HSC), are so glad that you all can join us this year. Going into our 7th year, HSC is proud to say that we are continuing to grow in providing knowledge about the Hmong and who we are to  Appstate, along with our surrounding communities. We hope and wish you all have a great start to this new school year and hope to see you out to join us!!!

We are a group of dedicated students that want to show the Hmong culture to the community. Our club motto is "ib tsev neeg" which means one family.

Our mission is to promote and provide extensive understanding of the Hmong culture through historical research, current issues, and application. HSC educates and promotes diversity at ASU and the surrounding community.

Selection Process/Membership Requirements

Please list information about the organizations selection process and include membership requirements if applicable.

Membership is open to all undergraduate students, graduate students, non-ASU students and faculty at ASU, regardless of race, belief, creed, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or physical ability. However, 50% plus 1 of the total number of members must be ASU students in accordance with Appalachian State University Policy. Membership fee is $5 per semester.

Must attend at least two (2) general meetings as a guest before considered to be a member.
