Here at Sigma Gamma we strive to exceed the expectation by further developing ourselves intellectually and becoming influential members of the community. Being a part of Alpha Omicron Pi is a gift.  It’s about being a part of something bigger than yourself, striving for goals and reaching new heights, together. Basing our values on service, scholarship, leadership and lifelong friendship we seek to better each other and ourselves by giving back to a community that we hold dear.  Alpha Omicron Pi is not just an organization for your college years, but truly a place to find lifelong friendships and support!

As one of our beloved founders, Stella George Stern Perry, once said, “Of all the blessings we count over, it seems to me none is greater than the consciousness of belonging to a family of thousands of sisters.”  We encourage you to explore the amazing Panhellenic community here at Appalachian State University and hope you find your home, wherever it may be, just as we did within Alpha Omicron Pi.

Description

Alpha Omicron Pi is a nationally recognized Greek organization committed to character, dignity, scholarship, and college loyalty. Throughout the United States and Canada, we share our sweet letters with approximately 200,000 women making up around 143 active chapters. The Sigma Gamma chapter here at Appalachian State was founded in 2009 and has encouraged a spirit of fraternity and love through sisterhood, support, and involvement during its time on campus so far.

Our sorority was founded on a promise to serve not only one another but the greater community as well. This commitment reflects a philosophy of friendship, concern, and usefulness in the world.Upon meeting an Alpha Omicron Pi, we are confident that you will recognize them as strong leaders, dedicated scholars, true friends, and passionate philanthropists.
