Weeks of Welcome Staff Volunteer Registration

Hello Colleagues! We are looking for volunteers to assist us with the Welcome Back Bash on Sunday, August 20th at the Davidson-Gundy Alumni Center 5pm-7pm.

We will need volunteers to help with setup, greet students, pass out schedules, coordinate food lines, and break down the event. We would love to have you help us kick off Weeks of Welcome 2017!

Take a break from your final exams and join the Student Organization Center on Tuesday, May 2nd from 11am - 3pm in the Galaxy Rooms as we host Canvas and Clay, an annual Stressbusters event. If you love to paint, draw, or make clay models, this is a great way to relax during finals week!

This year, we are doing a TEMOC Portrait contest! Registered student organizations may have a maximum of two members from their organization enter the contest. The goal is to paint your best rendition of TEMOC. We will offer prizes for – 1st place - $250 – 2nd place - $175 – 3rd place - $75. COLOR THE COMETS

We invite you to celebrate Homecoming 2016 with our 2nd annual COLOR THE COMETS competition. This competition is open to all registered student organizations. Each participating organization will be given a wood COMET (30.75"w x 25"h) to be painted and/or decorated to represent the spirit of Homecoming week and COMET pride. The purpose of the Programming 101 presentation is to help clarify programming funds and answer questions you may have. We will go over things like: what programming fund events should look like, budgeting tips, how to correctly submit the requests and answer specific questions that you may have. Presentations will be held on October 18th from 6pm - 6:30pm in SU Phoenix Room (SU 2.508) and Thursday, October 20th from 4:00pm - 4:30pm SU Phoenix Room (SU 2.508).

The UTD IEEE Student Branch has created an engineering Tutoring Center that has been very active and beneficial for both the volunteer student leaders and students needing tutoring.  The leaders of IEEE Student Branch are all engineering students.  Organizing the space, lining up tutors, working with the school and learning to delegate authority has stretched these students into other disciplines that will benefit them in their post-academic life.  Students needing tutoring have benefited...

Slam Poetry Competition
