Celebrate: Black Heritage Month
Jan 3, 2016 by Nyasha Bailey
Black Heritage Month serves as one of the richest traditions at the University of South Florida.
The mission of Black Heritage Month is to educate both the USF and Tampa Bay community on the importance of the history and significance of the Black culture. Black Heritage Month provides an educational atmosphere for students, staff, faculty, and alumni to celebrate and commemorate the contributions that the black community has made to society. Our theme for the month long celebration is "Sankofa: Incorporating our Past into the Present to Make Progress for the Future."
Visit our website to learn more about being a part of the celebration.
