The Student Dietetic Association (SDA) is an organization for undergraduate and graduate students studying nutrition. Activities include monthly meetings with professional speakers, community service and volunteer projects, opportunities for leadership and networking, as well as participation in departmental functions—all aimed to enhance your future career in nutrition and dietetics.

The membership fee is $30 per academic year and includes a t-shirt.

SDA is an umbrella of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND). Students are encouraged, but not required, to join AND. An AND student membership is  $58. More information can be found at

Membership is open to nutrition students at all points during the semester; fill out the membership form on orgsync or email SDA to get a membership form and bring it with your $30 dues to the next meeting.

SDA offers numerous volunteer/service and professional development opportunities. For example, SDA hosts the College of Agriculture and Life Science (CALS) Alumni Breakfast, brings in speakers from the field of Dietetics, and hosts an annual Dietetic Internship Panel.
