Tarleton State University.

The Greek community has become one of the largest and most active groups on campus with numerous opportunities to hold influential leadership positions.  Collectively, thousands of community service hours and thousands of dollars are contributed annually to local and national philanthropy projects.

Fraternity & Sorority Life at Tarleton State University is made up of 17 fraternities and sororities that each report to one of three governing councils.

Panhellenic Council

The National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) is the national general body of 26 all-women sororities. There are 5 NPC sororities at Tarleton State University that participate in formal women's recruitment. Each group has different financial commitments and academic requirements. InterFraternity Council

Interfraternity Council (IFC) is the governing body of the all-men fraternities at Tarleton State University who are members of The National Interfraternity Conference (NIC). There are 6 IFC fraternities at Tarleton State University that participate in formal men's recruitment, have financial commitments and academic requirements. InterGreek Council (IGC)

InterGreek Council (IGC) is the governing body of all special interests fraternities and sororities at Tarleton State University. Member organizations include service, special interest, and multicultural fraternities and sororities. Since 1984, Fraternities and Sororities have served as fundamental elements of Tarleton State University student life. Tarleton is home to 17 national and local Greek organizations, making the Greek community the largest membership-based community on campus. Greeks contribute largely to the campus while only numbering about 10% of the total student population at Tarleton. These small groups of students are a major factor in the daily and future operations of Tarleton State University.
