Join the Discipline Committee!
Mar 11, 2013 by Tineil Lewis
We invite you to consider applying for the UTD Discipline Committee. We believe that the Discipline Committee is an excellent way for students to get involved on campus! While serving on the committee, you will learn about the campus discipline system and have an opportunity to develop both your leadership and communication skills.
The Discipline Committee is a joint committee comprised of both faculty and students. Its purpose is to resolve discipline and academic cases referred to the Dean of Students Office. Student participation on the committee fills an important role in maintaining integrity and civility on campus. Additionally, students will have the opportunity to participate in outreach activities that teach their peers about community expectations and the responsibility of community members.
To apply to be a member of the Discipline Committee, you must submit a completed application packet to the Dean of Students Office by 4:00pm on Friday, April 24th, 2013. You may complete the online application by visiting the following website: http://orgsync.com/8452/forms/show/34463
The application packet includes the application form and an essay reflecting on accountability. Failure to submit any portion of the application packet will void your application.
Interviews will begin the week of April 29th, 2012. IMPORTANT: Please sign up for an interview time when you turn in your application packet or call 972-883-6391 if you choose to complete the online process. The interview sign-up sheet is available in the Dean of Students Office, located in the Student Services Building, Room 4.400.
Should you have questions about the application process or interviews, please contact our office at 972-883-6391 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org. We look forward to talking with you soon about becoming a member of the Discipline Committee.
