Free Self-Defense Classes for Women

Apr 16, 2012 by Alissa T Wyre

UT Dallas Police Department supports the education of women in self-defense. Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) System is a program of realistic self-defense tactics and techniques for women. R.A.D. is a comprehensive, women-only course that begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction and risk avoidance, while progressing on to the basics of hands-on defense training.  R.A.D. is not a Martial Arts program. Our courses are taught by nationally certified R.A.D.  Instructors and provide each student with a workbook/reference manual. This manual outlines the entire Physical Defense Program for reference and continuous personal growth, and is the key to our free lifetime return and practice policy for R.A.D. graduates.
The class is held at the UT Dallas Police Department and is free of charge.  For further information or to register, please contact Sgt. Kendra Penny at kpenny@utdallas.edu or 972-883-2574.   This class is open to all female students, faculty and staff.  The surrounding community is also invited.

Scheduled Classes:
April 24-26 (Tue-Thu)  3pm-6pm

Is this a 9 hour course (3 days with 3-hour sessions) or is it multiple sessions?
