Free gig + poetry slam TOMORROW

To celebrate Diversity Fest, we will be hosting an exclusive evening event tomorrow night featuring a lineup of powerful women's voices from Bankstown Poetry Slam and OKENYO. Entry is free and free food will be available. The line-up will be followed by a short open-mic where audience members can perform.

When: October 4
Time: 6pm of 6:30 start
Location: WSU, Parramatta (South) | The Hub - Building EG

About the line-up:
Enigmatic, mysterious and evocative in her lyricism and storytelling, OKENYO, emerges from the pack as a uniquely charismatic artist, part of a new generation of powerful women set to make their mark.

Founded by two WSU students in 2013, Bankstown Poetry Slam was the first regular poetry slam of Western Sydney and has gained national recognition as the largest regular slam in the country. Catch the best women from the slam take to the stage on everything from politics, love and family to religion and identity. The BPS lineup will feature: AIDA ZJAKIC, ALICE TAME, LAYLA MKH, MISKI OMAR, RAMEEN HAYAT, SANDRA FALESITA, SARA MANSOUR, SHARNAY MKH, YASMINE LEWIS + more

Doors: 6pm
Okenyo: 6:30pm
Bankstown Poetry Slam: 7pm
Open Mic Slam (open to all): 8:20pm
Close: 9pm
