Want to earn valuable leadership skills whilst making a difference on your campus?

Nominations for a range of positions on the University’s governing and student representative bodies close THIS FRIDAY at 4pm.


Participation in governance and representation is an invaluable experience allowing you to play a key role in University life and activities, build a range of skills well regarded by employers and provide a student voice.

 
Following the nomination period, a student election will be held from Monday 9 October to Friday, 20 October for any contested positions.

The below positions for 2018 are currently open:
- Student Campus Council (SCC) Representatives

- Student Editors for the Student Newspaper, W'SUP

- National Union of Students (NUS) Delegates

- Undergraduate Student Member on the Board of Trustees

Why is staff involved with student body elections?

Hi Tony,

The above elections are actually administered by a Returning Officer, external to the University. Staff are only involved to encourage and promote participation in the various student bodies. Thank you for your enquiry.
