The Future of Bankstown Campus: FORUM

Aug 21, 2017 by Yasmine Lewis

The Bankstown Student Campus Council (BSCC) will be hosting two open forums regarding the future of Western Sydney University at Bankstown.

Forum 1:
Tuesday, August 29
11 AM - 1 PM

BA-05.LG.15

Forum 2:
Wednesday, August 30
11 AM - 1 PM
BA-01.1.106

We invite all students and staff to attend a forum and to ask questions they have about the move to Liverpool in 2018, as well as the closure of the current Bankstown (Milperra) Campus and the move to the Bankstown CBD in 2021.

We hope to have representatives from the Western Growth team, which has been responsible for this project, as well as from the university. However, in lieu of this, the BSCC will attempt to answer your questions as best we can, and presenting a full list of your questions to the team of Western Growth for them to address.

We look forward to seeing you there, and hearing your questions.

If you have any questions about the forum, email bankstown_scc@westernsydney.edu.au

To provide feedback on the Liverpool CBD campus, email westerngrowth@westernsydney.edu.au

Why is this notification from a staff member? Does’nt the bscc have independence to release this information? I suggest this gathering should have occurred before the decision to move was made without consultation.not agiainst the move persay but those with issues should have had a voice.

Hi Tony. Bankstown Student Campus Council does have independence to release this information and did so quite broadly across campus. One of the roles of Student Representation & Participation is to assist in promoting events and activities by the Student Campus Councils and Collectives. We posted this notification as it was an event by Bankstown Student Campus Council. Thanks for your enquiry.
