CALL OUT - Diversity Fest Art Project
Jul 18, 2017 by Yasmine Lewis
As part of this year’s Diversity Fest, various concrete pillars on each campus will be canvased to illustrate the foundational character of how diversity makes us who we are.
Each campus will be transformed into a visual representation of the diverse identities that make this university community what it is.
We would like to invite students and staff to be a part of this symbolic display. Individuals or groups should feel free to create a representation of whatever identity and symbols are most meaningful to them.
We will provide you the canvas and a space to work. All you need to do is register your expression of interest by July 30.
About Diversity Fest: Diversity Fest is an annual Western Sydney University event that celebrates and explores our diverse community across many dimensions including culture, sex, gender, physical and mental abilities, age, ethnicity, sexual orientation, political beliefs, religious practices and socioeconomic status. This year's event will take place from September 25 - October 4. An art project facilitated by Student Representation & Participation and the Trans-cultural Working Group will take place from August-September.
