Showcasing Service & Leadership
May 5, 2016 by Stuart Haruyama
RISD Serves hosted the LACE Fellowship Showcase last Wednesday evening to an audience of over 30 RISD students, faculty, staff and Providence community members. Ten LACE Fellows were on hand to exhibit posters illustrating the service & leadership work that they have performed this year through the Fellowship, and attendees were invited to walk around and engage in conversation with the students. Over the course of this academic year, Fellows have engaged in regular service work at a local community non-profit, leadership programming & training on campus, and critical reflection and dialogue as a cohort. The Fellowship experience culminates in a personalized Capstone Project that works to unite the greater Providence community with the RISD campus in a visible and meaningful capacity. Please take a look at photos from the event!
