The Community Service Office will run plushie/toy making sessions during their regular meetings that will be donated to the Hasbro Children's Hospital!  All supplies will be provided, but we need your contribution of t-shirts and other soft fabrics to make some lovable creatures and plushes! This coming holiday, Community Service Club will host their annual reDesign Thanksgiving event in campus eating venues.  Unlike previous years, we want to have a greater push towards collecting as many food donations as possible as well as creating a hunger/homelessness awareness campaign to recognize local non-profit organizations such as Amos House who are doing amazing projects to help sustain and better the lives of Providence citizens in need.

[Ongoing Opportunity] Life Guidance Neighborhood: Atria Lincoln Place

Hi CSC Members!

A great ongoing opportunity:  Facilitate simple art projects with a memory care neighborhood, Life Guidance Neighborhood, to provide artistic self-expression to help residents with some form of dementia. Seeking between 1-6 students to lead small group art projects. Projects could include watercolors, collage, stencil, crayons, etc. Each visit/ project would last 50-60 minutes. An "art gallery opening" will be held at the end.

Clean the Beach

Children's Friend 5K Run/ Walk

Children's Friend has served and nurtured many Rhode Island youth to help them grow up with safe, healthy lives--your involvement and support will make a great impact! The organization has invite RISD students to help create a running team composed of 10-12 individuals, a walking team with 10-12 individuals, and 2-3 general event volunteers. These numbers are the minimum amount so the more, the merrier! 

We will meet at 8:30AM on the RISD Beach to make it to the 9:00AM Registration...

One Day in the Beach!

Community Service Club is collaborating with the Wilderness Club and Rock Climbing Club for an earth day event on April 18th.

We will be working with Clean Ocean Access(http://www.cleanoceanaccess.org) and have a beach clean up event.

We will also host a catering event on upper Met after the beach clean up.
