Welcome to Bread Salvage!
Bread Salvage is a program under the Housing and Hunger umbrella program. We collect leftover bread from the Cromwell Freihofer's outlet and deliver it to three Middletown elementary schools: Snow, Macdonough, and Farm Hill.

In a short paragraph, please tell us what your group's mission is, what you plan to do, and how your group may be unique from other similar groups.
Bread Salvage seeks to increase food security in the greater Middletown community by delivering bread to local elementary schools on a consistent, weekly basis. Each week, hundreds of loaves of bread are distributed to Middletown elementary school children and their families, many of which come from low-income households that may have inadequate access to healthy and affordable food. Additionally, we hope to increase dialogue and awareness surrounding local, national, and global food issues, e.g. food equity, food insecurity, food deserts.
