Ajúa Campos is Wesleyan's Latino/a/e student identity and affinity group. We meet weekly to discuss current issues, coordinate community outreach initiatives, and plan events pertinent to Wesleyan's Latinx community. Ajúa takes an intersectional approach to collective learning by holding educational events centered around issues of race, sexuality, class, and other identity positions. Every November, the group holds Latinx Affirmation Month as a way of celebrating and interrogating Latinx experiences through comprehensive programming. Our community is comprised of students, but we have had faculty members, community activists, and career advisors facilitate dialogues alongside Ajúa's leadership in the past.
