National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE)
What is NSSE?
This survey measures student engagement based on two general principles. The first is how the institution deploys its resources and organizes the curriculum and other learning opportunities to get students to participate in activities. The second is the amount of time and effort students put into their studies and other educationally purposeful activities.
Students who are invited to participate (via email invitation) by NSSE are first-year students and senior-level students.
All individual information will be kept strictly confidential. A summary presentation will be available.
Why is it so important to complete this survey?
Key points for the NSSE Survey:
Your voice will be heard at the Student Success Council and in other decision-making committees about student learning experiences. Our Provost is eager to hear your perspective regarding opportunities to improve student life.
Our university’s reputation as an engaged research university will increase as well as the value of your degree.
Students who participate in this survey will get the chance to win a $100 Amazon gift card. A total of six Amazon gift cards ($100 each) will be awarded - three gift cards to first-year completers and three gift cards to senior-level completers.
*** There is a great competition between all universities to be the champion with the highest participation rate. It is up to you, the students, with support from all areas of the university, to make Florida Tech one of the highest engaged universities in the country!
