Welcome to the Minority Student Nurses Association! If you are a minority nursing student here at UMSL and are interested in expanding your knowledge on minorities in nursing, participating in community service, and meeting fellow nursing students in your shoes, MSNA is the place for you! Fill out an application located under the Files tab entitled: 'MSNA Membership Application. Drop off the completed app in the envelope outside our office on the bulletin board.

Membership requirements:
  1. Join us on OrgSync
  2. Attend at least 2 meetings per semester
  3. Attend at least 2 events per semester
  4. Pay membership fee of $15 for the year or $10 for the semester
    • Paid membership dues include: free Homecoming ticket upon early registration, MSNA t-shirt, and voting rights in our annual officer election

Description

Minority Student Nurses Association was developed in 1998 functioning as an academic support and network group. Today, the focus of MSNA is to provide service, knowledge, and sense of awareness through community and university service and to create a bond between minority nursing students. MSNA is all about support, academics and community outreach. Membership is open to all students from the College of Nursing regardless of race, culture, religion, or ethnic background.

Constitution and Bylaws

All student organizations must submit a copy of their constitution and bylaws prior to receiving recognition from the university. Any time a change or revision is made to the constitution or bylaws, a new copy must be submitted.
