Welcome to Sustainable Consultation of Office Practices
SCOOP began in 2007 with student-consultants conducting sustainability assessments of University offices and departments. The consultants created and delivered recommendations to contribute to campus-wide goals in reduction of energy consumption, waste production and energy costs. SCOOP has received crucial support from Fletcher Alexander, of the Institute for Sustainable Development and Angela Casler, of the College of Business.
SCOOP serves as a sustainability certification and education program, designed to further the pursuit of multiple facets of University sustainability endeavors. Our members work with many campus resources to educate, support, and certify Chico State offices in five categories of sustainability– energy, waste/recycling, procurement, transportation, and employee health and wellness.
SCOOP works with all campus departments and offices to assist in their pursuit of SCOOP's sustainability certification. Our consultants connect our clients with on- and off-campus resources to achieve individual, community, and University sustainability goals.
