WiSTEM (Women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) is a student led organization at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, aimed at aiding students interesting in STEM fields, with particular emphasis on women who are often underrepresented in these fields. We hope to increase the number of women that are interested and involved in STEM. WiSTEM works to organize events that get students interested in or build experience in STEM. It also provides its members with information about STEM events that are going on in the community, such as conferences or volunteer opportunities. WiSTEM is open to all interested individuals, regardless of gender.
