Brothers for Excellence Mentor Program Opt-In Form
Hello! We are excited you're interested in Joining the Brothers for Excellence Program. We believe this will be a valuable experience and resource for you as you begin your journey here at Loyola University Chicago.
Here is a small description of Brothers for Excellence:
The Brothers for Excellence is a one year mentorship program designed for first year undergraduate and transfer male students of color. Students will be matched with a male faculty or staff member and a peer mentor who has successfully navigated Loyola. Your peer mentor will be someone who has already gone through one year with Brothers for Excellence and now serves as a peer mentor. The program will assist Men of Color in creating a foundation on Loyola’s campus through: opportunities for leadership and personal identity development, connecting students to university-wide resources and people, creating unity among participants and ultimately supporting the educational and personal success of Men of Color.
Brothers for Excellence will also have a retreat hosted at Loyola to develop skills needed to excel in the classroom and find resources to assist you in your transition (Academic, Financial, Personal). This will also serve as a great way to meet your mentor and create long lasting friendships with your peers and faculty/staff.
We will be sending you more information within a few days of you signing up.
Again, congratulations on taking a great step in achieving your personal success at Loyola.
