Catholic Social Thought in the Era of Pope Francis: Roots in the Work of Saint Alberto Hurtado
On October 22 and 23, thanks to the generous support of Dean Vincent Rougeau, the Institute for Liberal Arts, and Dean Stegman of the School of Theology and Ministry, a conference will be held on Saint Alberto Hurtado, S.J. and Catholic Social Thought. The second day of the conference, on October 23, will be on main campus and will be open to the public. Dean Rougeau and Dean Stegman of STM will deliver opening remarks; the Jesuit Provincial of Chile will speak, and so will several others. The conference is convened by Fernanda Soza and Scott FitzGibbon and has benefitted from the skilled assistance of Susan Simone Kang, Daniela Urosa, and Karen Breda.
