We welcome all majors and backgrounds of life! Come join us and help give back to our campus and community.
Just as some background, AATA is the African American Teachers Association. The group works to provide educational, professional networking, and service experiences related to assuring quality education for all. Historically and today, African American students have been underserved and have faced opportunity gaps, hence the focus in the title. AATA is open to teacher candidates and other educators of all backgrounds who seek to learn about and cultivate educational opportunity. As a group, we have become concerned that the name of the group may have presented the appearance of a limitation to "black teachers". We are working to make sure that the WSU community is aware that the group welcomes all.
Please attach the organization's constitution.
