Welcome to the Criminal Justice Club for the 2018-2019 school year!
The Criminal Justice Club is composed of students with the collective interest in various criminal justice agencies. The Club exists to try to give these students better insight into these career paths and give students the ability to make connections with each other and outside agencies to commence with upon graduation.
The mission of the Criminal Justice Club is to create an opportunity for students to learn about the criminal justice profession and those impacted by the criminal justice system. Article 1. Official Name
The name of the organization shall be the Criminal Justice Club.
Article 2. Purpose
The Criminal Justice Club is an organization designed to encourage students interested in criminal justice, as well as other interested factions of the University of Scranton to share interests and ideas thereby supplementing and enriching our overall learning environment.
Article 3. Membership
The member ship of the club shall consist primarily of all interested at the University of Scranton students.
The Criminal Justice club has an open membership policy.
Members will be required to participate in fundraising events throughout the year in order to maintain membership.
The creation of the budget will be the job of the Treasurer. However, suggestions will be accepted from members.
In the event that an officer was to resign, an election would be held to fulfill that position.
Article 4. Officers
The management, supervision and overall control of affairs and functions related to planning, responsibilities, and administration shall be accomplished by members of the Criminal Justice Society.
Section I. President: He/She shall preside at all meetings and will serve as the executive officer of the Criminal Justice Society. Furthermore, the President wil serve as the representative of the club at all club President’s meetings.
Section II. Vice-President: This officer shall assist the President in various capacities, taking the place of the president in the event that he/she is unable to fulfil one’s duties. This officer will also have the responsibility for notifying members of the club about meetings and other related events.
Section III. Secretary: The Secretary shall be responsible for all correspondence between the organization and any other organization on campus. This officer shall keep all of the files for the club, maintain paper work necessary for the full operation of the club.
Section IV. Treasurer: This officer will be in charge of financial records of the club. In addition, they will be assigned to attend any and all budgetary concerns of the club.
Article 5. Elections
The Criminal Justice club shall consist of a President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer, all of whom will be newly elected each of the Academic year.
