City needs volunteers to serve
The City of Colorado Springs is seeking volunteers to serve on the following boards and commissions:
- Independent Ethics Commission: Reviews ethics complaints and inquiries submitted by citizens through the City Attorney regarding a matter involving an elected official, an appointee including members of boards, committees, and commissions appointed by City Council or the Mayor, or an independent contractor. Meets for the purpose of either considering an inquiry for consideration or investigating a written complaint as set forth in Section 1.3.103K of the City Code.
- Downtown Review Board: Reviews downtown development applications using the Downtown Colorado Springs Form-based Code regulating plan. Members are needed to represent either the Shooks Run Neighborhood HOA or the Mill Street Neighborhood HOA. In addition, an at-large seat is available.
- Public Arts Commission: Coordinates programs to promote art in public places, makes recommendations on donations or purchases of public art and art displays in public buildings, participates in the Art on the Street Program and supports the expansion of public art in visible sites throughout the community.
