"Be Money Wise" Video Contest ($500 Grand Prize)

UCCS Mountain Lion Money Matters, our campus financial literacy program, will be hosting the first ever “Be Money Wise” video contest this semester. Current UCCS students who are enrolled at least half time, will have a chance to win up to $500 by submitting a 3-5 minute video pertaining to any financial literacy topic of their choosing (ie: how to budget/save, improve credit score, buy a car, etc.).
General rules include:
- Only original work may be entered.
- Entries must not include any profanity.
- Use of copyrighted or trademarked work (including but not limited to images, music, sound effects, brand logos, slogans, etc.) is prohibited.
- Employees of the UCCS Office of Financial Aid and Student Employment as well as members of the judging panel’s immediate family are ineligible for entry.
Submissions are due on or before April 2, 2015. A judging panel will select five finalists no later than April 9, 2015. Our five finalists’ videos will be posted on our website (www.uccs.edu/moneymatters) starting April 13, 2015 and voting will be open to the entire campus community. Three winners will be selected via the voting process.
Chancellor Pam Shockley-Zalabak will be presenting our prizes at a launch party to be held on April 21st at 4:30 PM in the UC Theater. The prizes will consist of a grand prize of $500, 2nd - $250 and 3rd - $100.
