Organization Overview

The Center for Civic Engagement inspires students, faculty, staff and alumni to leave a legacy by taking action to fulfill their civic and philanthropic responsibility while becoming agents of change through their experiences in the community, with peers, and amongst those in need. To advance its mission of inspiring the community to action in service, the Center shall focus its efforts on three goals. To develop, promote, and encourage a culture of service and civic leadership throughout the California University of Pennsylvania community. The Center will link students, faculty, staff, and alumni to opportunities for community service, service learning, and volunteer projects. The Center will establish sustainable partnerships between the university and outreach programs in the Mon Valley and beyond.
