The Nu Mu Citywide Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta welcomes you!
Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is a private, non-profit organization whose purpose is to provide assistance and support through established programs in local communities throughout the world. A sisterhood of more than 200,000 predominately Black college educated women, the Sorority currently has over 900 chapters located in the United States, England, Japan (Tokyo and Okinawa), Germany, the Virgin Islands, Bermuda, the Bahamas and the Republic of Korea. The major programs of the sorority are based upon the organization's Five Point Programmatic Thrust:
The Nu Mu Citywide Chapter is active on the campuses of Loyola and Tulane Universities, as well as in the Greater New Orleans community. We welcome you to attend our events and participate in our service projects held throughout the year. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is a public service organization founded on Christian principles with an emphasis on scholarship, service, and sisterhood. Twenty-two dynamic women founded this organization on the campus of Howard University in 1913.
Today, Delta Sigma Theta boasts a membership of over 250,000 women, making it one of the largest predominantly African-American women's organization in the world. Its membership is dedicated to the mission and vision of the founders and contributes countless hours of public service implemented through the sorority's Five-Point Programmatic Thrust.
