Alumni are permitted to participate in intramural sports programs as well. All participants must complete a Student Activities General Waiver prior to registration for program or event.

Take advantage of all Rec Programming has to offer!

Intramural Sports

Designed to encourage participation in an action-packed, competitive sports program. A variety of major sports are offered, including coed competitions.

Current students, faculty, and staff are all encouraged to participate in intramurals, making it one of the largest on-campus activities outside the classroom. Over the last few years, the intramural program has grown to where most of our seasons can boast participation by over 150 students.

Season play is currently offered, at no charge, in Men's Flag Football, Powder Puff Football, Coed Volleyball, Men's Basketball, Coed Soccer, and Coed Softball. In addition to season play, we offer tournament play, such as 2x2 Sand Volleyball, Dodgeball, Kickball, and Ultimate Frisbee, based on student interest. Contact the Rec Programming Intern or Intramural Commissioner.

Rec Classes & Tournaments

Rec Sports offers extracurricular recreational classes each semester. The classes offered vary, but most are 8 to 16 class sessions for a small fee per semester. Classes meet in the recreation room located in the basement of Jerome Hall. Classes are subject to change. Register for classes in Forms!

Sailing Program

Did you know the University of Dallas owns 4 sailboats? Our boats are kept at Scott's Landing Marina, only 30 minutes away from UD. Our sailing partner, the American Airlines Sailing Club, maintains the boats, gives free sailing rides and lessons to all UD students.

Every Saturday of the Academic Year (during good weather months) Rec Programming offers Sailing Saturdays for students! See the schedule below for dates and times of Sailing Saturdays.

If you really like sailing and have interest in becoming a skipper, join the American Airlines Sailing Club for the skipper training sessions!
