Welcome to Geeks for God!
We are a student group for anyone interested in learning more about Christianity. While this ministry is financially supported by members of the United Methodist Church, we are interdenominational, with a membership that includes Methodists, Baptists, Presbyterians, Lutherans, Disciples of Christ, and others. There are no requirements for joining in -- no fees or dues, no secret handshake, no oath of allegiance. Just come and hang out.
If you're a Christian, we want to help you on your journey toward a more mature and fulfilling relationship with Jesus Christ. If you're not sure what you believe, that's okay too. We'll answer whatever questions you may have -- even the really tough ones -- and try to help you find your spiritual path. We won't tell you what you have to believe.
Geeks for God is an inclusive and judgment-free zone -- you are welcome here no matter who you are, no matter what your background is, no matter who you vote for, and even if you don't hold to the same religious beliefs that many of us share. Bottom line, there's no reason for you to struggle alone when there are so many folks here ready and willing to bring you into the fold. We want to meet you!

"Geeks for God" is an interdenominational Christian student group based on the the theology of John Wesley, who notably once wrote "But as to all opinions which do not strike at the root of Christianity, we think and let think." We believe God is not only our father and creator, but also an engineer, a scientist, a mathematician, and often a comedian. And being made in his image, we strive to get to know him through a method including prayer, study, worship, fellowship, and logic... not to mention plenty of laughs.
Although "Geeks for God" is a ministry supported by the members of the United Methodist Church, our student members also include Baptists, Presbyterians, Disciples of Christ, Lutherans, and others. We don't tell you what to believe. We just want to help you grow a real relationship with Jesus Christ.
