Welcome to Geeks for God!
Who are we?
We are just a bunch of college students wanting to pursue relationships with Christ and serve both our campus and the Rolla community. While we receive funding from the United Methodist Conference, our members come from a wide variety of religious backgrounds. Also, the majority of us go to S&T, but some of us also go to other local colleges.
What do we do?
We grow the faith of college students, serve our campus and community, and develop lasting friendships. We do this through service projects, Bible studies, mission trips, fellowship events, breaking bread together, and worship nights.
Want to meet us?
10/10 recommend coming to our Wednesday lunches! It’s FREE food made for college students by college students every Wednesday (that school is in session) at 12:00pm in the Fellowship Hall of the Rolla First United Methodist Church. Can’t make it? That’s okay, find any other event that interests you on our calendar and come say hi! We’d love to meet you.
Want to know more?
"Geeks for God" is an interdenominational Christian student group based on the the theology of John Wesley, who notably once wrote "But as to all opinions which do not strike at the root of Christianity, we think and let think." We believe God is not only our father and creator, but also an engineer, a scientist, a mathematician, and often a comedian. And being made in his image, we strive to get to know him through a method including prayer, study, worship, fellowship, and logic... not to mention plenty of laughs.
Although "Geeks for God" is a ministry supported by the members of the United Methodist Church, our student members also include Baptists, Presbyterians, Disciples of Christ, Lutherans, and others. We don't tell you what to believe. We just want to help you grow a real relationship with Jesus Christ.
