Welcome to Grand Valley Students for Life! This is a club that meets 9 pm each Tuesday, as well as holds various pro life events. These include speaker, activism, fundraising, awareness, and community service events. Our goal is to compassionately show the value for all life (unborn or not), support pregnant students, and end the legality of the violent practice of abortion. One person at a time, we can show the world that every life is precious! We are the pro life generation!  Please join our Facebook group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/262005667229442/); this is where we do the majority of our communication. We also have a Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/gvsusfl

We are also in contact with the pregnancy resource center "Positive Options", (formerly known as Lakeshore Pregnancy Center), which offers FREE pregnancy testing, ultrasound scans, confidential and compassionate counseling, STD testing referrals, and newborn supplies. The closest location to Grand Valley is reachable by the 37 bus: 4623 Lake Michigan Drive, right next to the Speedway in Allendale. Ph.: 616 895-1893. Don't hesitate to contact their caring staff if you have questions or could use any help! 24 Hour Helpline: 1-800-712-HELP  Text: (413)3OPTION

As well, any Students for Life member is more than willing to non-judgmentally help any of our peers in crisis pregnancy situations. We would love to talk anything out with you and help you make a plan that is healthy for you and your baby! :)

Portal Information

Description

The primary purpose of GVSU Students for Life is to allow the students of Grand Valley to voice the common belief that abortion is morally and socially unacceptable and causes physical and emotional harm to women and others involved in the decision. Also, GVSU Students for Life allows students to promote the pro-life cause and well-being of the pre-born, and by doing so, recruit others to join the pro-life cause so that acts of abortion can be avoided and other options can be made to those who are considering an abortion. These goals will be achieved through a number of activities including trips to the March for Life in Washington D.C., speakers, fundraisers for area pregnancy resource centers, legal protests, publications, etc. Students for Life exists to raise awareness of the reality of abortion, and to help Grand Valley students make an educated choice.
