MSSA Candidacy Application (2015-2016 Term)

This is the candidacy application for all of those desiring to run for a position on MSSA during the Spring 2015 elections for the upcoming academic year (2015-2016). The timeline for elections is as follows: 

**Before any candidate/political party/group begins campaigning they are to have an official rules reading of the General Election Rules, to be given by a member of the Elections Commission. The scheduled rules readings are as followed: 

Monday March 16th at 1pm in the MSSA office
Wednesday March 18th at 1pm, 2pm, or 3pm in the MSSA office

March 16th- Campaigning begins: Candidates may begin to hang posters.

  • March 31st- Filing deadline for Presidential and Vice Presidential Candidates
  • April 7th- Filing deadline for all other Senate seats Candidates
  • April 8th- Presidential and Vice Presidential candidate debate
    • CSU lower level, in front of the fireplace- 12:00pm and 1:00pm
  • April 14th- Election Day
    • Voting open from 8:00am until 6:00pm
