We are excited to welcome the Class of 2019 to Loyola for New Student Orientation!
Below are answers to frequently asked questions to help prepare you for your Orientation session:
What is the schedule for Orientation?
Where do I go to check in for Orientation?
Check-in will begin at 5:00pm in the St. Charles Room on the first floor of the Danna Student Center. Light refreshments will be served during check-in. If you are staying on campus you will check into the residence hall following Orientation check-in.
When will I meet with an advisor to talk about my classes?
College sessions and academic advising will take place the morning of day 3. You will be able to review your course schedule with an advisor, ask questions, and make changes if necessary. Many of your classes are pre-selected and can be found on LORA.
Where can I park?
If you will be driving to campus for Orientation, please visit the Maps & Directions site for detailed information on how to access campus. Parking is available free of charge during the New Student Orientation dates in both the West Road and Freret Street Garages.
What should I bring?
If you are staying on campus during Orientation, your room will come with linens (2 flat sheets, blanket, pillow), washcloth, towel and soap. You should plan to bring:
* Photo ID
* Comfortable clothes and shoes
* Personal toiletries
* Rain coat/ umbrella
* Sweater or light jacket for air conditioned rooms
* Alarm clock
* Pen/ pencil for note taking
* Money for dinner on your own or for souvenirs from the Bookstore
* Immunization records (if still needed)
